Christ's Hospital success!

The Horsham and District Cycle Forum, and the Open Spaces Society have been critical in saving the bridleway through the school grounds at Christ’s Hospital.

This from Ruth Fletcher of the HDCF.

It is important because it is the first time (we believe) that the wider public interest in keeping a right of way open has trumped a school’s reasons to shut it under a special diversion. It is also important because, in looking at the wider public interest, the inspector decided to give weight to the NPPF requiredment to prioritise and improve transport cycling and walking.

Hers is our article and the Horsham District Post’s article based on the Open Spaces Society press release.

We also got a nice ‘Well done’ email from Roger Geffen at CyclingUK.
