A24 Cycleway Findon to Washington

We would like a safe off-carriageway cycleway along the A24 between Findon and the top of the South Downs.

The A24 is an extremely busy, fast, and relatively narrow dual carriageway with many bends. It does not have any cycle facilities at all.

The Worthing Cycle Forum have been calling, for many years, for a wide off-road cycleway along the eastern side of the A24 between Findon village and the top of the Downs to connect with the old A24 road leading down to Washington.

At last, there is progress. The route is split into two phases.  Phase one (Worthing to Findon) is due for feasibility study in 2017/18 and phase two in 2018/19.  Build will be the year following the feasibilty - as long as a) it's feasible and b) there are no unforeseen snags.
